Tombstone Tuesday: the unmarked grave

Posted in Tombstone Tuesday at 9:48 PM by Kris P

rosehillHow ironic that on Tombstone Tuesday I should call up the cemetery that my grandmother’s ex-husband is buried at, only to find out that he is buried in an unmarked grave.

Alot of bitterness is held against him, by both his children (those by my grandmother), and me. I never met the man, he died almost 25 years before I was born, however, I still hold the resentment towards him.

But when I heard that his grave is unmarked…that noone would know he was there at all… it saddened me. And my feet have been forced onto a road that will someday put a marker on his grave. Certainly not for love or fondness for the man, but for the respect that, his existence should be acknowledged.

Some of you may notice….he is buried in the same cemetery Lee Harvey Oswald is buried in.
